Cassandro

This film tells the story of of Saúl Armendáriz, a gay amateur wrestler who becomes a star after adopting the "exotico" persona of Cassandro. Exoticos are lucha libre wrestlers who perform in drag in defiance of macho culture. Saúl's unexpected popularity as Cassandro causes conflict in Saúl's personal and wrestling life.
