Hanna and her four children live in Donbas, Ukraine, in the middle of a war zone. The family has a passion for filmmaking, and are creating a movie based on their wartime experiences while they are living through it. This documentary addresses their attempts to transform their traumatic experiences into a work of art.
“War is emptiness,” Myroslava says towards the end of the film, noting how it has left homes deserted and caused friends to flee. This film is a testimony to the way this family and many others like them have done their best to fill that emptiness with love and hope.
