An anonymous woman places a phone call to the police accusing her abusive boyfriend of committing a murder another man was imprisoned for, but flees before additional information can be gathered. Hotshot detective June Lenker takes the case, bringing her in the sights of Daniel Hegarty, who secured the previous conviction.
