The Other Way

The Other Way is an upcoming documentary film project by Aniket Dasgupta and Swathy Sethumadhavan. The film intends to showcase the Indian independent filmmaker and tell his story. In the glitz and the glamour of a Bollywood dominated industry that India has today, we want to tell the story of a parallel filmmaking community whose aim is not to create clichéd blockbusters, but to tell a meaningful and thought provoking story through the medium of cinema. These film makers are known as the ‘independents’ (or the indies) and work out of a studio system.The the documentary has a pan Indian perspective.
