The Conversion(La conversione)

In 1850s Italy, Edgardo, a Jewish child, is secretly baptized by a Christian maid and then kidnapped from his family. When his parents protest, Pope Pius IX decides to personally attend to his education and introduction into the Catholic Church. Set amidst the political turmoil of the Unification of Italy, Edgardo struggles against the forced erasure of his heritage.
