The story of John Schenck and Robert Loyd, two men who have experienced Stonewall and Vietnam. However, their biggest battles have taken place in the small town they call home. They now are gay rights activists living in the rural town of Conway, Arkansas. They have organized a mock wedding on the Capitol steps in Little Rock, lead the first Conway Gay Pride Parade, and survived harassment from bigoted locals, including one who dumped 6,000 pounds of manure on John and Robert's yard. While John and Robert have orchestrated many protests and demonstrations, their most persuasive activism is the strength of their loving thirty year relationship
