Wer wird Millionär?

Wer wird Millionär? is a German game show based on the original British format of Who Wants to Be a Millionaire?. The show is hosted by Günther Jauch. The main goal of the game is to win €1 million by answering 15 multiple-choice questions correctly. There are normally three lifelines - Fifty Fifty, Phone A Friend and Ask The Audience, but if the contestant wants, a new lifeline called Zusatzjoker or Risikomodus is added - if the contestant chooses to play the version with this lifeline, he can ask someone in the audience who believes that he/she knows the correct answer for a question, however if the contestant wants to play this variant, the second guaranteed sum isn't a guaranteed sum anymore. Wer wird Millionär? is broadcast from 3 September 1999 to today. It is shown on the German TV station RTL on Mondays and Fridays at 20:15. When a contestant gets the fifth question correct, he will leave with at least €500. When a contestant gets the tenth question correct, he will leave with at least €16,000.
