A Thousand Fires

In this documentary a family in the Magway region of Myanmar lives in a precarious situation. Trapped in a cycle of poverty, the family runs an unregulated oil field, producing and selling small quantities of oil. Husband and wife Thein Shwe and Htwe Tin have one wish: to see their youngest son succeed.
