Paulette, a widow, wrongfully blames her daughter, Linda, for losing her engagement ring. To make amends, Paulette offers to do what Linda desires most: make her late father’s favorite meal of chicken and peppers. What ensues is a mother’s chaotic journey to find a chicken amidst a city-wide strike in order to win her daughter’s forgiveness.
