Public Writer(L'écrivain public)

Mathieu takes a job as a public letter writer in a bustling borough of Montreal. As he helps local Hochelaga-Maisonneuve residents send texts, write love letters, and type out legal documents, Mathieu becomes familiar with the problems and hopes of modern Quebecois citizens. Supported by community center coordinator Sophie, Mathieu works with single mothers, exploited immigrant workers, and school dropouts as he juggles his own personal life and the funding struggles of the center.
