In Cajazeiras, in the hinterlands of Paraíba, singer Núbia Galvão (stage name after singer Núbia Lafaerte) talks about the difficulties she faced when she tried her professional career. In 1973, she went to Chacrinha's program, in Rio de Janeiro, but got frustrated for not being successful. She travels around her city selling perfumes, giving guitar lessons, and still sings serenades.
