Edouard, a retired history professor, is losing his memory in the early stages of dementia. Edouard’s son-in-law tasks his daughter, Berenice, with being his caregiver. The two form a special bond as Berenice finds meaning in her life and as Edouard learns to be more discreet in his self-expression.
