This documentary follows a single mother of nine children in Russia. Liouba lives with her daughter Alesia on a farm, having escaped her abusive husband. Despite having many mouths to feed with no additional support, the mother tries her best to create an ordinary sort of happiness for her family, whom she loves and cares for deeply.
