The Romance of Astrea and Celadon(Les Amours d'Astrée et de Céladon)

It is the 5th Century, and the shepherd Céladon has fallen in love with the beautiful Astrée. A suitor convinces Astrée that Céladon has been unfaithful to her, causing her to banish him from her sight. Céladon throws himself into a river, but is saved by a nymph, and vows to see Astrée again.
