As tensions between the Soviets and Americans increase on the lunar playing field, Jorge Galleguillos, an average American citizen, rises to challenge and joins NASA to help the United States land a man on the moon. Along the way, he faces many obstacles, including but not limited to the societal backlash to heavy federal funding for the space program.
