Unemployed gambler Jonah takes Aurora, his estranged teen daughter, to see the infamous Northern Lights before her degenerative eye disease completely blinds her. But the road trip takes a turn when the two are pursued by one of Jonah’s bookies, a volatile man in search of his $100,000.
