Acclaimed director Denys Arcand's first feature film, Dirty Money satirizes American crime films in which ordinary people murder, rob, and torture one another with casual abandon. Rolland and Berthe Soucy, a couple who are financially struggling, plan to rob Rolland's wealthy uncle, while their reclusive tenant Ernest follows them with criminal intentions of his own.
