Barefoot Gen(はだしのゲン)

Loosely based on the experiences of manga artist Keiji Nakazawa, who survived the bombing of Hiroshima when he was six, Barefoot Gen follows a young boy's attempt to survive the aftermath of the first atomic attack while assisting other survivors and caring for his pregnant mother.
