Director Denys Arcand investigates the difficult conditions of workers in Quebec's textile industry and their fight for rights and social justice. Despite being completed in 1970, this controversial documentary did not see the light until 1976 due to censorship endorsed by the National Film Board of Canada, which feared political repercussions.
