Domenico, a young man entering the workforce to support his family, moves to Milan from his small village and takes a job at a large corporation. Dealing with the company's faceless, bureaucratic gloom, Domenico attempts to find happiness in Antonietta, a young woman working for the same company, in this coming-of-age film about modern life.
