A group of Australia's most dangerous creatures -- a scorpion, a spider, and a snake -- are tired of being gawked at. They dream of escaping their Sydney Zoo and heading to the Outback, where they can be free with other animals just like them. Together, they set out on a wild adventure to find the place they belong.

The problem here is a recurring one with recent family entertainment and it's how little there is below the repetitive surface. Jokes are recycled with alarming regularity, and most of the supporting characters outside of Maddie fall flat.
The moral is clear as day to any kid, though plenty of adults could use the reminder: Never judge any creature by the way they look. And, for animation devotees, the lesson is the same: Never judge a cute animated offering by its platform.
