Les Misérables

Jean Valjean, an ex-convict accused only of stealing a loaf of bread, is on the run from obsessive police inspector Javert. Over the course of 20 years in 19th century France, his story connects the lives of numerous people including Cosette, the neglected girl he took under his wing, and Marius, a young revolutionary.
