15 years ago Laura was fat, without friends and was nicknamed "Laura-in-the-ass" following a rumor that made her life as a teen hell. Today, she is a beautiful and successful lawyer who has managed to rebuild and overcome bulimia through meetings of Overeaters Anonymous. But as she prepares to celebrate her first year of abstinence, she encounters the person that once ruined her life: Shirley Hackmann, who has ironically become bulimic.
