Living in the suburbs of 1990s Canada, a Korean single mother, So-young, is determined to provide a better life for her son, Dong-hyun, than the one she left behind in her homeland. But, as Dong-hyun gets older, he becomes increasingly curious about his heritage and his deceased father – a topic that So-young refuses to address.
