A strange mother, Haruko (Naomi Nishida), her son Riku (Uta Yorikawa), Haruko's drinking friend Meiko (Yotaka Kubo), and her boyfriend and novelist Sorao (Shugo Oshinari). The Aobaya family lives together with four people. One day in the summer, Haruko's old friend's daughter, Yuko (Aino Kuribayashi), came to the Aobaya family to attend a summer class at an art prep school.
