This poignant, observant coming-of-age film focuses on sensitive 16-year-old Ari, who must move from living with his mother in Reykjavik to living with his alcoholic father in an economically depressed small town. Once there, he struggles with his relationships to his father, to his childhood best friend, and to his harsh surroundings.
