The Vourdalak(Le Vourdalak)

Based on A. K. Tolstoy’s novella “The Family of the Vourdalak,” this 18th-century Eastern European tale follows the Marquis d’Urfe, an emissary of the King of France, who finds himself without his horse, allies, and shelter. A stranger advises him to find Gorcha, a man in a nearby village, leading him to the vurdulak/vampires.
