The Metamorphosis of Birds(A Metamorfose dos Pássaros)

Part memoir, part documentary, and part avante-garde experiment. This film follows Portuguese filmmaker Catarina Vasconcelos' attempt, after the loss of her own mother, to understand and piece together the lost history of her grandparents stories that were documented in letters but burned per their request after their deaths.
