In this award-winning, German ensemble film, twelve individual lives are shown to be interconnected in different ways. Including, a documentarist and her boyfriend with a secret, a pedicurist with a foot fetish, a group of students visiting a concentration camp, a hermit living amongst nature, and a woman living in an old people's home.
