The Forger(Der Passfälscher)

Based on actual events, the film tells the story of a young Jewish man, Cioma Schönhaus, who, in Berlin in 1942, discovers his talent for forging documents – especially passports. This talent allows him not only to escape deportation -- and to help others do so as well – but to forge his own identity.
