Sweet Adeline is a 1926 American silent comedy film directed by Jerome Storm and starring Charles Ray, Gertrude Olmstead and Jack Rube Clifford. Shy and sensitive young Charles Ray is disregarded by his parents and his older brother Jack Clifford. Clifford becomes jealous and schemes to send his brother away when Ray wins the affections of pretty neighbor Gertrude Olmstead. Ray wins out when the trip on which Clifford has sent him becomes a great success.
