James wakes up in the middle of the night with nightmares. Memories of war, of the dead, of the many battles fought in the Pacific during World War II. He is six years old and was born in '96. Yet those memories are his. “Anne” is a short film inspired by the true story of James Leininger, an American child who from an early age has shown that he has memories of a past life.
