Weissensee

Set in the communist East Berlin from 1980-1987, Weissensee is a heart wrenching soap opera. Martin, a police officer whose family is well-connected to the government regime, falls in love with Julia, a young shop worker whose mother is a singer famous for both her voice and her criticism of the government.
