Etienne travels from his modest middle-class home to Paris in order to study filmmaking at Sorbonne. He quickly falls in with two film students—cocky Mathias and bubbly Jean-Noël. As Etienne spends the year studying with these two, he must overcome challenges of love, friendship, and finding his own voice.
