It is the 1890’s in a small village, where a young woman named Cordélia is infamous for allowing men into her home while her husband is away, the villagers deeming her immoral. When a man previously seen going into her home is murdered, Cordélia is immediately suspected, but it seems that her character is on trial rather than her culpability.
