In this refreshing documentary, Inuit people poke and prod at “Qallunaat,” the Inuit word for white people, from their odd dating habits to their obsession with property owning. A collaborative effort between filmmaker Mark Sandiford and Inuit writer Zebedee Nungak to parody the tendency of documentaries to exoticize Indigenous peoples.

Documentaries don’t usually make me snort, but this one did. A very effective parody of the otherism rampant in documentaries about Indigenous peoples. Mark Sandiford flips the script and gathers Inuit perspectives of all the ways white Westerners are “funny” (an epithet argued very convincingly!).
