Ellie, a young woman from the big city fleeing her traumatic past, decides to move to the small island town of Grand Entrée. The locals are suspicious of her intentions and Ellie struggles to adapt to the harsh lifestyle, which is exacerbated by her uneasiness about the community’s annual seal hunt.
